Our Catered Ski Chalets are ideal for families wanting to share with our sociable guests or for taking sole occupancy, i.e. on a private basis. A chalet is perfect for families to spread out and create a home from home environment for their children. Chalets allow children to have access to communal areas and for nannies to come and work from a homely and recognisable environment for your children.

Please contact us for our recommended properties, although during school holiday periods all of our ski chalets and ski hotels will have children in residence and therefore will benefit from a family atmosphere in which you can socialise with likeminded groups.

We would recommend chalets such as the Chalet des Neiges in Les Arcs and Chalet Altitude in Val Thorens for convenient doorstep skiing suited to all abilities and family facilities such as swimming pool and sauna. Also recommended are any of our Meribel Chalets or Tignes Chalets for great all round ski resorts and family friendly atmosphere.

A Private or shared chalet
All of our chalets will cater for your family holiday needs and can be taken either on a private or shared basis. Where group sizes fall slightly short of the chalet capacity, empty bed supplements can be paid to take larger chalets on a sole occupancy basis. See a full list of our ski chalets France.

We also understand how daunting a family ski holiday can be. Will you be able to get basic baby supplies? Will the chalet be safe? Will you get enough time on the snow? And will the children get the level of crèche and beginner ski attention they require? We endeavor to make your time on the snow as comfortable as possible and our staff will help in the best way that they can.

Family Ski Holiday

An Alpine Elements family ski holiday is ideal for families wanting sole occupancy of a catered chalet, you can spread out and create a home from home environment for their children. Chalets allow children to have access to communal areas and for nannies to come and work from a homely and recognisable environment for your children.

Whilst all these details can be provided they must be pre-ordered well in advance (at least 4 weeks plus). These items are subject to supply and families must book in advance and pay supplements where necessary.

Child Discounts
Our Famly ski holidays offer some great child discounts - up to £100 off for children under 5 and up to £40 off for all other children. You may also over-fill a chalet for £100 off (children of all ages) by taking extra beds. Please contact us for more info or our best family ski quote.

Ski Gardens and Ski Clubs
On an Alpine Elements family ski holiday children from the age of 4 can learn to ski! We operate child specific ski classes with our preferred and associated ski schools for all ages and abilities of child and will be accommodated in either a private or group lesson. Group lessons carry around 8 to 10 children.

Lessons are very sociable and entertaining for children, and they can last for half a day or a full day with lunch included, 5 or 6 days a week. Parents can drop off and pick up children around a good day’s skiing.

Grown-up time away
The importance of "grown-up" time away from the kids is also of paramount concern to our guests and so daytime creche facilities can be arranged to give you unhindered mountain-time during your family holiday. All baby facilities including creche facilities and children’s ski clubs will have to be pre-arranged with us.

Child Playroom
Many of our club hotels will have a child's playroom in residence which contains a TV-DVD player for cartoons and some soft toys for the children. It makes for an ideal space for families to entertain their little ones. It is better to bring your own DVD.

Early mealtimes for children can be arranged and simpler children’s menus provided.
