Be as relaxed as you want to be

At Alpine Elements we design our holidays to work hard, so that you don’t ever have to. A holiday with us will allow you to do as much (or as little) as you want. Our Active Team can give you great itineraries for a cultural day out and leisurely walks or rides to nearby beauty spots.

Our hotels, with their swimming pools, gardens and spa areas offer the perfect setting to shake off your worries and enjoy some serious downtime, on and off the sunlounger.

So put your feet up and enjoy these suggestions for taking it easy...

Take it easy

While everyone else hits the mountain, it’s time for you to hit the sunlounger - hard.

Whether you prefer the feel of a mountain lake beneath your feet or relaxing poolside while the kids enjoy Kids Club, you’ll find plenty of space - and plenty of sunshine - to unwind.

Or simply retreat to a shady spot in the garden and enjoy an afternoon doze. After all… you’re on holiday.

Mountain lakes

The mountain lakes of Tignes, Morzine and Les Gets are perfect for relaxing in the sunshine. Enjoy a swim, a gentle walk, or simply unwind by the water.

For something more active, the kids can enjoy paddleboarding and kayaking (or join them if you’re feeling energetic), before you settle back to sunbathe on the lakeside ‘beaches’ or enjoy lunch at one of the waterside restaurants.

Calm, scenic and effortlessly relaxing — these lakes are the perfect places to unwind and soak up the alpine atmosphere.

Mountain Lakes

Take in the sights. And the sites.

If you’ve visited the French Alps before, you’ll know how rich the region is in history and culture. For those looking to explore beyond the mountains, Morzine & Les Gets offer a wonderfully authentic alpine experience, with open markets, museums, wildlife, high-altitude viewpoints and walking itineraries that bring the area’s heritage to life. Our Mountain Team will help you plan a day out that’s as relaxed or as active as you choose.

In Tignes, the landscape becomes more rugged, with equally impressive wildlife - from the ever-present marmottes to the majestic black eagles that inhabit the area. Like Morzine, it is steeped in mountain history, and our cycling itineraries take in traditional churches, local cheese factories (for tours and tasting!), museums and open-air markets with fabulous local produce.

We can also help arrange day trips to nearby destinations such as Annecy or Chamonix, both around an hour from Morzine. Chamonix is a particular highlight — steeped in mountaineering history and home to Europe’s highest peak, as well as the iconic Mer de Glace glacier.

Explore the trails

Our Mountain Team will be on hand to suggest the perfect walk or bike ride to suit your pace. Our Route Cards make it easy for you to self-guide and experience some fantastic day trips. Why not try the Mont Caly loop - a gentle, high-altitude route accessed via the Mont Chéry cable car (so don’t forget your free lift pass), with an authentic mountain restaurant ideal for a leisurely lunch.

We offer a wide range of easy to moderate walks and rides for all ages, designed for relaxation - with just the right touch of adventure.

ROUTE CARDS

Ride the cable cars and chairlifts

Whether you’re looking to build up an appetite for lunch or take on a more serious hike, your free pedestrian lift pass gives you access to 25 lifts in Morzine & Les Gets and 6–7 well-connected lifts in Tignes.

This makes it easy to reach stunning high-altitude viewpoints and enjoy walks that can be as relaxed or as challenging as you like. With around 800km of trails in Morzine and 320km in Tignes, there’s more than enough to explore in either resort.

E-Bike Adventures

In all our resorts, we offer E-bikes for free use or for a small fee - a fantastic way to explore the area with ease. With pedal-assist power, you can cruise up even the toughest climbs and enjoy the journey without the effort.

An E-bike ride is a truly relaxed and scenic way to experience the mountains.

E-Biking

Try Mountain Yoga

There's no better place to recharge your batteries and boost your immunities than in an idyllic high altitude setting. This is why we offer Yoga classes (for no extra cost) at our boutique Hotel Tetras Lodge in Tignes.
