Workshops & Mechanics

Coming away to the alps with a bike means that you will need a full repair facility on hand, otherwise the local shops will charge you a fortune! We have fully equipped workshops or mobile workshops in all resorts and a dedicated on site mechanic in all major resorts.

Guests may use the basic tool kit and bike stand that we have availabe in all our main hotels and our two MTB Centre chalets. 

Our Mechanics are on hand as a first aid post to ailing bikes and to help you run and repair your bike throughout your stay. Their advice is free, (to an extent), but their help on specific jobs will require an hourly rate, which is very reasonable.

We have full workshop facilities in Tignes, Les Gets and Morzine. These workshops are equipped to solve most problems from disc brake alignments to changing bottom brackets, trashed wheels and minor frame alignments. We carry spare cassettes, pads, tyres and other essentials (subject to stock levels).

The lifts open from 07:30 till 18:00, allowing plenty of time to complete the 80km circuit. Whilst on the ride you’ll pass 8 different refreshment points, all serving local produce, from Swiss chocolate to smoked ham, giving you a chance to have a breather and take in the scenery. This well organised event also features two fully equipped Mavic workshops on route should you require any mechanical assistance.

With over 70 of the biggest brands in mountain biking exhibiting, you can try the latest bikes from top manufactures. Coupled with the bike exhibition there will be organised night rides, trail bike shows, live music, sports massages and more. The event is more of a festival of biking than a race, explore the superb terrain and enjoy all that the French Alps has to offer!
