Allow your adrenaline to surge as you swoop round banked corners and over whoops and humps, following the flow of the Singletrack course down the mountain. Then ride the lift back up and do it all over again!
Take to the hills on a full-suspension bike (rent one locally or bring your own) and whether you’re a novice or expert - we’ll help you find the best trails and our inhouse mechanics will help keep things rolling. You can even try our specially designed DH biking lesson in Tignes which is the best choice for Beginners to Improvers.
Whatever your level - we’ve got you covered!
Experience the sensation of riding a well sorted and high-end ‘full suspension’ bike to get the most out of the trails. These bikes are essential for any Downhill riding and our Reps can help you rent one unless you bring your own. Local rental shops will also provide full face helmets, armour and shin pads.
If you bring your own bike, carriage on our airport transfer is free, just notify our sales team you wish to bring your own bike. We have guest-tools at our workshops and our inhouse bike mechanics will be on hand to help with any ailments (but their time is chargeable) and we can carry out any repair. All properties have secure bike storage and bike washes.
If you’ve ever fancied the rush of riding a full suspension bike on REAL mountain terrain, then let us help you get started this summer. The Downhill courses are open to those with off-road trail riding experience and if you are new to DH biking we’d recommend visiting our programme in Tignes and trying our DH Mtb lesson which we’ve designed with local experts, Evo 2 for beginners and more experienced riders. The trails in Tignes and Val d'Isère are better suited to beginner and Improver riders, as well as for the experts. And the best part is that the lift pass is FREE with our Active Pack.
Top Tip: Take our beginner lesson on day 1 and you’ll be set up for the week. Lift passes are also free for 3 days, upgrade to 6 days from €12.
All our resorts have a number of specially made Freeride and Downhill courses of varying difficulty: from Green to Black. They are well signposted, so you can pick the trail that suits your ability, and remember that all lift-assisted trails (Green to Black) suit confident riders only and you must use a good quality, well maintained Pro Bike with full suspension and hydraulic disc brakes.
Novice riders will be able to cut their teeth on some of the easier Green trails around Morzine, but Tignes is the best destination for beginner Downhillers and comes with a free lift pass which costs £37 in Morzine!
As part of the vast Portes du Soleil, you will enjoy the largest linked bike destination in the Alps with 25 lifts open all summer and 800Km of trails and freeride loops into Switzerland lasting for 76Kms. Expect world class bike facilities and all types of riding from Northshore to Avalanche Cup DH courses and Bike Parks. Travel in June or early Sept for the quietest times.
Here, you have the benefit of a FREE lift pass for bikers included with our Active Packs. This will save you a fortune over Morzine which is £185+ a week for a lift pass. We feel that beginner and improving riders are better suited to Tignes and our DH Lessons with local professionals Evo 2 are excellent. Experts will also love the riding in Tignes and Va;l as the trails are quieter and although fewer of them, they are better quality.
