Learn MoreDiscover Lac Montriond, a 1.3Km lake near Morzine. It’s such a beautiful place that we encourage you to visit it with a free-and-inclusive session of paddle boarding or kayaking. You’ll find it easy to get to the lake on two wheels or two feet, or even take the free shuttle bus from Morzine centre. As a further adventure, you can hike or bike over using the lifts and following easy trails down to the lake. Kids age 6+ can do the ride; and they love to ride up the lifts with a bike!
The lake is a great spot to spend the day - for walks, sunbathing and paddlesports; or for the kids to have fun-in-the-sun. There are two lovely restaurants on the lakeshore, which are some of our favourite places to eat. The lakeside pathway is great for walking, biking and jogging and if you’ve any energy left, then walk up to the village of goats from the lake. A quaint mountain village which is literally dominated with goats.
*Your choice of kayaking or stand up paddleboarding is an inclusive activity exclusively for Alpine Elements guests
The lake is ideal for swimming and has sunbathing beaches or banks to relax and enjoy a picnic. You’ll find kids’ fun-and-games next to the lake: there’s a brilliant assault course, a luge track (which is a lot of fun for all ages!) and the centrepiece ‘Wi Bit inflatable obstacle course’, which is also a hit with adults and kids!
The WiBit fun park can be pre booked (ask our reps to help you) or just turn up if you don't mind a short wait. It has a series of inflatable obstacles, bouncy cubes, bridges and slides. They provide the wetsuits and buoyancy aids on site.
This small bucolic lake enjoys a very calm environment and far fewer people. It is a lovely place to walk or bike to, but also the starting point for some lovely walks to the Swiss border. At the lake you can enjoy absolute peace and nature among mountain pastures and coniferous forests that surround it and there is a small cafe for lunch.
Located at the bottom of the Manche Valley, it’s about 15 mins’ from the centre of Morzine by free shuttle bus, or you can walk or bike up to the lake by following our Lac Mine D’Or Route Card.
Once there, you can walk on the path that goes around the lake, go hiking to the Col de Cou at the Swiss border, the atmosphere is calm and soothing and a pure getaway from the hub-bub of the resort.
The lake in Tignes is a magnificent centre piece to this resort and offers lots of watersports and games for all ages, and some of the good ones are free to do on your MyTignes card which is included for free with our Active Packs.
Have a go at kayaking and paddle boarding or pedalo. Kids and adults have plenty to do all week (in fact almost too much!) and everyone loves Acroland for adrenaline-fuelled activities.
Our Holidays come with more than enough free activities for your week included in our ‘Free Active Packs’ (which are worth up to £355).
You can try even more activities once in resort. Some may carry a small cost and not all activities are available in all resorts.
