Canyoning in Tignes

Warning - Canyoning is seriously addictive!

Rather like Coasteering, but a lot more fun! Canyoning is a fun and technical sporting activity that combines the art of hiking, climbing, abseiling, jumping (into rock pools) or rappelling to the bottom of a river canyon with waterfalls and white water slides along the way. Your diligent instructor and guide shows you how it’s done and it is  also a great bonding experience to enjoy with our other guests.

Canyoning, Tignes

  • Cost: €65
  • 3 Hrs activity time (Allow half day+)
  • Discovery Route ages 10+
  • Adventure Route ages 14+
  • Groups of 8-10
  • Wetsuits / helmets & Equipment provided
  • Tip: Bring swimmers to wear underneath

We have a family friendly Discovery Route (ages 10+) and an Adventure route for teens and adults (ages 14+). Canyoning requires no special level of fitness and yet it’ll have you grinning insanely as you jump into rock pools, slide down chutes and rappel down waterfalls and rock faces in an abseiling harness.

Once at the centre, you will be kitted with wetsuits, harnesses and helmets before a safety briefing. It is a great experience with other Alpine Elements guests with energising teamwork at the core, but with an emphasis on fun and thrills. It’s a unique and unforgettable activity which is one of our most popular add-on activities and will have you bonding with our other guests.

Seriously addictive!

Canyoning is a fun and sociable group activity to enjoy with other Alpine Elements guests and is one of our most popular ‘add-on’ activities. In fact, it was our most popular ‘add-on activity’ for guests in 2024. Canyoning will compliment your free Active Pack and we even offer it as an inclusive option in our Adventure Upgrade, which includes upgraded rafting, a guided hike as well as a choice of Via ferrata or Canyoning, which is excellent value.

Getting there

The Nautic base of Doron is in Bozel, about a 40 min’ drive from our hotel in Tignes Les Brévières. Easy for Self Drives but we will provide transport (for an extra cost) to and from our hotel in Brévières to the Nautical base for everyone else.

Enjoy the journey!

You'll be setting off for the day in the direction of Bonneval sur Arc. You'll pass over the Col de l'Isèran, the highest pass in Europe that can be crossed! Yes, this canyon is located at altitude, which makes for a refreshing and unique experience! You will be transferred to the activity by coach or minibus straight from our Hotel in Brevieres.
