The Chalet Marilyn

Marilyn is a charming ski chalet for eight with lots of atmosphere and an enviable location. Inside is lots of exposed wooden beams and panelling with an open plan sitting room and dining room, an open fireplace and bags of cosiness for a relaxing evening in.

There’s even a chalet sauna for soothing your ski-legs and heated boot warmers for added comfort in the morning. All-in-all, the perfect place to relax as your chalet host prepares afternoon tea and a 3 course evening meal each day (6 days a week).

You can ski back to within 100m of the chalet and it’s less than a 5 minute walk to the nearest shops and bars in Tignes Lavachet. The Chaudannes and Paquis chair lifts (and ski slopes) are only a short walk from the chalet (<200m) which is great news for keen skiers and also beginners, as these lifts not only access some of Tignes and Val d'Isère's best runs - but they sit at the bottom of a very good nursery slope with a free drag lift*. It’s probably one of the better nursery slopes in Tignes for families and beginners to practice on, so you can play safe and always be within a few moments of home.

These two high speed lifts access some of Tignes and Val d'Isères’ best slopes, for the ultimate in choice at your fingertips and ‘route-one’ access to the best descents on a powder day!

*Drag lift has always been free to use (still current in the 2023 season) but always check with the TO for updated info if free lifts are important to you.

Bedrooms... take your pick

The chalet sleeps 8 people over four en-suite bedrooms. There’s a sauna and heated boot warmers. And a lovely atmospheric open plan lounge and dining room with an open fireplace and sunny balcony with panoramic views of Tignes’ mountains and slopes. TV-Dvd, board games and Wi-Fi.

• Bedroom 1: Twin bedroom, full en-suite bathroom, (shower) WC
• Bedroom 2: Twin, bedroom, full en-suite bathroom, (bath/shower) WC
• Bedroom 3: Double bedroom, full en-suite bathroom, (shower) WC
• Bedroom 4: Twin, bedroom, full en-suite bathroom, (bath/shower) WC

About Tignes

Tignes is one of the finest ski areas in Europe and linked to neighbouring Val d’Isère it has a well earned 'Super Resort' status. Famous for its high altitude skiing and a snow record most other resorts can only dream of, Tignes coolly and comfortably rivals the world’s best ski and board destinations for on-piste quality and off-piste itineraries.

The slopes are characteristically wide, long lasting and highly efficient. All in all, this allows for some effortless skiing for all abilities, fewer people on the pistes and not too much waiting around in long lift queues!
