Road Cycling - Morzine

The unique geography of this region of the French Alps offers steep climbs, long descents and breathtaking scenery - with rides suited to all levels. It makes Morzine a bit of a mecca for cycling enthusiasts. If you follow the Tour de France assiduously, then you will have heard of the famous  Cols de Joux-Plane, Joux Verte and the Col de la Ramaz. Such legendary climbs have made Morzine famous in the cycling world.

Best weeks for road cycling

You can join us to road cycle in any week of the season, but our favourite time to ride is in the weeks of June and September when the roads are quiet. Try our Hotel Philibert in Morzine or Hotel Tetras Lodge in Tignes which have a workshop and in-house mechanic support, a free bike health check when you arrive and a free transfer of your road bike from the airport. You can also get a discount for opting out of the activities with Active Lite.

Our Road bikes (free-use)

We have a small selection of road bikes at our hotels, which are free for guests to use. Or, you can bring your own bike to the Alps and we will include it for free on our airport transfer coaches. 

You can grab a road bike from our hotel racks whenever you choose, but availability can be limited, so you may not get to use one all week. However, you can Reserve a Road Bike (just for you) from only £59 per week, if you would like your own bike with unhindered use, for your holiday.
