The ‘Cascades’ Adventure Park is a free-and-inclusive activity for all our Morzine guests and it was voted the most popular activity in 2024. Each session lasts for about 3 hours+ as you traverse through the treetops and around the waterfall of the forest of Nyon. There’s an Adventure course and an Adventure Plus course for more thrills (ages 13+), meaning everyone in the family can join in together!
Top Tip: Combine this activity with a walk or a cycle along the river to the Cascades centre for a fulfilling day out.
You will really enjoy the ‘Cascades’ high adventure courses, whatever your age! Children aged 6-12 will enjoy the Adventure course and thrill-seeking adults and teens will enjoy the Adventure PLUS course.
Each course runs high above the ground and you will move through the treetops using your harness and clips via ropes, zip wires, cargo nets, bridges and swings. It’ll be a smash hit with all the family and combines so many elements of outdoor excitement that you’ll be exhilarated, possibly exhausted, but almost certainly wanting to go back for more!
On arrival, our Active Team will be on hand to help you get started. After a safety briefing and an introduction to the courses, you’ll get harnessed up and the fun begins! The Cascades Adventure is designed so everyone can participate together, with adult and child routes running almost side-by-side so you can enjoy the course with your family. There’s a lovely woodland cafe for lunch; or why not order a pack lunch from the hotel and picnic at the Nyon waterfalls.
After your adventure, cycle or walk back to Morzine (or take the free bus). Or, why not extend your day and cycle up to the Lac Mines D’Or which is a beautiful bucolic lake.
For Morzine guests: Many of our guests like to cycle or walk to the activity, as it follows a lovely route along the river and up to the Nyon waterfalls where the Cascades Park is located. It’s about a 45 min walk or a 30 min cycle following a track and a trail through the trees. Alternatively, you can use the local (free) buses which run from all of our chalets and hotels and straight to Nyon. Ask our Active reps for Nyon Waterfall Route Card
For Les Gets guests: simply take the free-bus into Morzine and walk up to the ‘Cascades’ waterfall following our Nyon Waterfall Route Card or change bus in Morzine to get to Nyon
Top Tip: The mountain cafe at Cascades is a lovely spot for lunch.
