Mountain Biking Morzine

Morzine and Les Gets is the most popular bike destination in the Alps. It was one of the first resorts to welcome mountain biking in the late 90’s and invest heavily in its summer facilities. So, it is little surprise that these days Morzine, (alongside its neighbour Les Gets), remains to be the leading bike destination in Europe with bike facilities that are on a par with the best Canadian resorts.

Top Bike Rides Morzine

Morzine: 25 lifts, 850 Km of trails!

Morzine is in the heart of the huge Portes du Soleil. A vast alpine playground for bikers and alpinists in summer which spans 12 villages and cuts into Switzerland (all on the same lift pass) to offer 850+ km of tracks and trails for all ability.

You will find Downhill courses aplenty and Freeride trails with dedicated E-bike routes, family trails, bike parks and some epic Northshore. The most popular with our guests are long rides (using the lifts) that span the entire region like the Portes du Soleil tour (80 Km) which is a great day out and a real adventure that high intermediate riders will enjoy.

Lifts are open all summer

The lifts in Morzine open in May and close in September and mountain bikers can use the chairlifts and gondolas, which have been specially converted to hold bikes. The lift system (25 lifts) is open to bikers and walkers all summer long, so you can access 850+Km’s of tracks and trails spanning the Franco-Swiss border of the immense Portes du Soleil.

It has numerous walks and hikes, cafes and shops galore and activities for all tastes - from paddleboarding to canyoning - and  a beauty among all other alpine resorts which is unsurpassed.
