Things to do in Morzine

At the far end of a beautiful Savoyard valley, Morzine is surrounded by an abundance of freshwater rivers and lush mountain greenery. An extensive summer lift system opens up an array of terrain for walkers and bikers of all ability. Morzine is rightly seen by many as the premier summer alpine destination.

Aquatic Centre

Visit the all new leisure pool complex in Morzine with its chutes, slides, waves, fast-flowing river or choose the decked sun bathing area or solarium with a good book for catching those high alpine rays in a deck chair!

 

Bike the Avalanche Cup Downhill

This world-famous Down hill course has been at the epicentre of many a Pro event in the area. But it is open to beginner bikers with its “chicken run” sections which skirt the hard or technical bits. Get padded up and take our onw of our Pro level bikes for a day to experience the REAL mountain terrain and hone your MTB skills in double quick time!

Apprentice Farmers!

A great day out for the family where your children will become the farmer's apprentice, helping feed the animals, make cheese and look after the pigs, cows and other farmyard animals. Learning all about the animals and the way the farm works whilst having some petting and feeding time.

 

Via Ferrata

Following marked routes through the mountains, you are helped along by steps, bridges and ladders whilst being roped up for extra safety. An absolute MUST DO activity for keen walkers and hikers, or climbers.

 

The Fantasticable

The Fantasticable is the only one of its kind in the Alps! Situated at the top of the Chaux Fleurie lift (accessed close to Avoriaz) this zip wire covers over 3 Kms in two stages and reaches speeds of up to 100km/h! Wooah! Strapped into a harness you literally fly like a bird - head first across the valley! A high-speed fly-past of the trees, wildlife and scenery!

Walk the high mountain route

Take to the cable cars and chairlifts with our (free) lift pass and discover mountain trails and scenery from high vantage points around Avoriaz. Remember to pack lunch and your sun cream, the experience of walking at 2000 + metres with the world below you is simply breathtaking!

 

Cross the Franco-Swiss border

Whether by bike or on foot, the multitude of lifts in the Portes du Soleil (all accessed on our lift pass) will allow you to cover miles of trails leading over into Switzerland. Experience mountain restaurants, an array of wildlife, the freshest of air and superb views.

Adventure Park

Whether Adult or child, Try the amazing Adventure Park in the forest of Nyon, just a short 5 min cycle from Morzine central areas: Walking in the tree tops, using ladders, rope bridges and a zip wire or Aerial Runway for fast descents trough the trees

 

Lac Montriond

Walk, Jog before breakfast or cycle to the beautiful Lac Montriond for a swim. (1.5hrs, easy cycle, 40 min Jog). A great way to start your day or to do as a day's activity. The lake is perfect for swimming, picnic lunch, kayaking or even fishing. Kayaks are cheap to rent (from 15 Euros) and Kayaking around Lac Montriond is a wonderful way of exploring this beautiful lake in your own little boat!
