High Altitude Ski Resorts
Our high altitude ski resorts reach up to 4000 metres - twice the height of many 'normal' ski resorts. At this level the snow never disappears - even in the summer where resorts open for summer skiing on the glaciers, and will offer skiers a full snow guarantee from December 1st to May 1st.
Go on a ski holiday before the peak week of Christmas or after Easter - and get crowd free slopes and guaranteed snow. Many of our high altitude glacier resorts stay open for skiers during June, July and August, so December and April are very much like mid season where the locals would only laugh if you asked about whether there will be any snow lin December or April!
Our glacier or high altitude resorts are Tignes, Les Arcs and Chamonix - which offer some of the highest snow in Europe. These resorts are open for early and late season skiers wanting snow sure slopes when flights are much cheaper.
Tignes & Val d'Isere (3550m)
Offer year-round skiing. The Glacier in Tignes is open during July & August, followed by a brief respite before opening again from September onwards. The snow is as guaranteed as it comes in Tignes for pre Christmas skiing! Many of our chalets have pool, sauna & hot tub.
Chamonix (3842m)
A year round mountain town with the highest ski-able peak in Europe! Chamonix is a bustling and charming town with lots to see and do. All the skiing is above 2000 metres and our Chamonix chalets are centrally located.
Les Arcs (3226m & 3417m)
Not content with one glacier - then try two for size! Les Arcs is now joined with La Plagne and forms the new Paradiski area, with two fantastic Glaciers and some of the most extensive high altitude skiing in France. The Boutique shopping of Arc 1950 and various cafés and bars are all within a short walk from our Les Arcs chalets.
