Tignes Opening Weekend
By James Hardiman
Updated November 2024
The Opening Day for Tignes is November 23rd 2024 and we can’t wait to dust off our skis and head for the funicular (the lift) to experience this magical mountain! We skied it in summer and even made a movie, too (for our new summer-alpine Tignes programme), so do check out our summer Tignes skiing movie if you’d like to see what skiing on a glacier in summer is like.
Last year, on the 18th of November, we headed up to the glacier to see what Tignes' slopes were looking like. Here are a few images of the weekend which saw great quality snow and runs open all the way down to Val Claret.
