Clear, smooth lakes offer the perfect conditions for water ski and wakeboard fun and our mountain lakes (Alps) offer just that! And the best bit is that this activity is open to all levels - so it’s not as hard as you think! Boats have tow bars to make learning easier.
Most beginners (children included) can be up and skiing or boarding using the pole in their first session. Learning is a lot of fun, especially with a group of four sharing the experience. And a great spectator sport as the boat tours around the lake
The only resort not to offer this activity is Tignes and Val D’isere. But they make up for it in other ways!
Lake Geneva is one of the largest inland lakes in Europe and only 40 mins drive (or so) from our hotels and chalets. Our reps can organise this activity locally and with transfers the cost is about €50 to €70pp.
The wake board and ski school will teach absolute beginners or take intermediates/experts out in their boat which comes with a driver / instructor. This is a good half day activity and each person will get around three rides each for about 10mins per ride which is more than enough to leave you feeling exhausted! It’s a great activity for spectators too as the boat ride, experience and views of the lake itself are stunning.
There’s no facility at present for Tignes and Val’ d'Isère, but at least this is made up by the fact that the Sportignes Activity pass (free with our Active Packs) has so many other free and inclusive lake activities on it!
Our Holidays come with more than enough free activities for your week included in our ‘Free Active Packs’ (which are worth up to £355).
You can try even more activities once in resort. Some may carry a small cost and not all activities are available in all resorts.
