Rather like Coasteering, but way better! Canyoning is the art of hiking, climbing, or rappelling to the bottom of a river canyon with a team of other guests to share the experience with.
Canyoning is the art of hiking, climbing, or rappelling to the bottom of a river canyon to an exit point. You follow the water downwards: over drops into pools, down chutes, and through deep water. This involves jumping, scrambling, abseiling, sliding, climbing and swimming whilst a guide and instructor helps you do things you'd never previously dream of! And it all takes place in the most impressive alpine surroundings – rivers and waterfalls
An immensely fun and very sociable group activity means you'll be making new friends with other guests in no time.
As one of our most popular ‘add-on’ activities, Canyoning will compliment your free Active Pack very well and can be easily organised with our Active reps when you arrive.
Famous for their white water rapids, the Alps have an abundance of fast-flowing, melt-water engorged rivers which alternate between rapids - making them a perfect route down which to slither and climb, jump and swim. Canyoning is never better experienced than in an Alp, and if you wish to compare it to Coasteering in the UK, then don’t… this is way better!
Our Holidays come with more than enough free activities for your week included in our ‘Free Active Packs’ (which are worth up to £355).
You can try even more activities once in resort. Some may carry a small cost and not all activities are available in all resorts.
