Guided walks suit all abilities: high routes for the hikers and easy routes for the not-so-adventurous walkers and families. You will get to use your free lift pass and cover many miles of stunning terrain. We often bring guests together so they can share the cost of a guide which is typically from €250 a day. Our alpine resorts offer a network of spectacular walking and hiking trails, in Morzine there are more than 800km’s of marked trails around the portes du Soleil, stretching over into Switzerland. They are linked together on the same lift pass by a lift system which enables you to reach high vantage points and cover many miles with ease.

Our Route Cards will offer a choice of walks for all tastes, some taking an hour, some lasting all day. Our walks will show you wildlife and mountain scenery peppered with pine forest, lakes, waterfalls and (the bit we like) excellent mountain restaurants serving delicious alpine food for a lunchtime pitstop.
Ask our Active team for a Route Card, which is a walking itinerary you can follow. Our exciting itineraries have activities on route, such as kayaking and paddleboarding, wild swimming, the Wi Bit (inflatable obstacle course) and even flying the World’s longest zip wire.
Nordic walking is an enhancement of normal walking, where poles are used to propel the walker along and to work the upper body. So why not grab a pair of Nordic poles - which are available in all our hotels - and explore the mountain at a faster and safer pace.
Our Morzine and Les Gets guests can enjoy a unique experience in Chamonix by taking a day trip to this incredible mountaineering town. Of course our Tignes guests don’t have to venture far as Tignes' very own glacier is on the doorstep.
For Morzine day trippers, it's an easy 1 hour drive to Chamonix; or ask our Reps about a coach trip - which sometimes we run if participant numbers allow. On arrival you can even rent some crampons and ice axes (though not essential) and buy a ticket for the Montveners train up to the glacier. Also try the Aguille Midi (highest cable car in Europe) and visit the viewing platform and its terraces which offer a 360° view of the French, Swiss and Italian Alps.
In Tignes, you can take the funicular train (free on the MyTignes pass) in Val Claret which is about 25 mins from our hotel in Les Brevieres. Or, you can walk to the base of the glacier from Val Claret in about 1 hr 30 mins. The funicular railway gives direct access to the snow at 3,000m. Hire some crampons or snowshoes so you can walk around the snow at the top.
